About GradeCalculate.online
Empowering students, teachers, and parents with open, verifiable, and instant academic calculation tools.
Who Runs GradeCalculate
GradeCalculate.online is maintained by an independent group of software engineers, university alumni, and former STEM tutors. Having experienced the tediousness of grading stacks of tests and the anxiety of calculating semester-end grade cutoffs, we set out to build a lightweight, ad-clutter-free suite of academic tools.
Why We Built This Platform
Most online grade calculators are either buried beneath intrusive advertising or suffer from mathematical ambiguity when handling plus/minus rounding and weighted categories. GradeCalculate.online was engineered around three core pillars:
- Instant Feedback: Real-time calculations with zero page refreshes or laggy submit buttons.
- Mathematical Transparency: Clear algebraic formulas and worked step-by-step examples for every result.
- Absolute Privacy: Zero cloud storage — all inputs and scores remain strictly in your browser memory.
How Our Grading Formulas Are Sourced
Our calculation engines are calibrated against standardized benchmarks from the US National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), collegiate 4.0 GPA quality point standards, and standard university faculty handbooks.
We model both the classic 10-point standard scale (where 90% is an A) and the widely used collegiate plus/minus scale (where 93% is an A, 90% is an A-, and 87% is a B+). For non-standard institutional curves, our tools allow complete customization of percentage cutoffs.
Our Educational Commitment
GradeCalculate.online will always remain free and accessible to all learners worldwide. If you notice any formula edge cases or would like to suggest a new calculator feature, explore our Contact page to share your suggestions directly with our team.
